Vice President of Sales | CaroTrans Chicago

We are seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead and expand our sales strategy across the U.S.A. This role will work closely with our Sales Team, Branch Managers, and Executive Team, to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and support the continued development of our sales team.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can also lead from the front — someone who understands the logistics industry, builds strong teams, and thrives in a performance-driven environment.
Key Qualities We’re Looking For
- Deep knowledge of the logistics, NVOCC, or freight forwarding industry.
- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into measurable results.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop talent.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for expansion and revenue growth.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support branches, customers, and sales initiatives.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with a disciplined, results-driven approach.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and support regional and branch-level sales teams.
- Partner with branch leadership to identify opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
- Establish sales goals, performance metrics, and activity benchmarks across the organization.
- Monitor pipeline performance and provide guidance to ensure targets are achieved.
- Strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure alignment between sales commitments and service delivery.
- Analyze market conditions and competitive activity to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Represent CaroTrans at industry events, customer meetings, and strategic engagements.
