Introducing our new Sydney Warehouse located within the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal

We are thrilled to announce that we have opened a new 55,000 sqm warehouse, strategically located within Moorebanks Intermodal Terminal in Sydney’s South-West. Our investment in this new facility and the latest warehousing technology enables our team to deliver smooth and efficient services to our customers.

What you can expect inside our new Sydney warehousing facility

  • Warehousing and Wharf operations: Our new Sydney facility combines our Warehousing and Wharf operations under one roof, creating seamless supply chain efficiencies for our customers.
  • Pallet spaces: 70,000 racked pallet spaces.
  • Temperature controlled area: 35,000 pallet spaces that are specifically built for temperature sensitive freight such as pharmaceuticals, kept at a constant temperature.
  • Dangerous Goods management: The facility is equipped to store and handle a wide range of hazardous and retail dangerous goods. We have designed the facility with a Dangerous Goods bunker and cages built to meet regulations and standards.
  • Bonded: A Customs bonded warehouse is a building in which imported dutiable merchandise may be stored without payment of duty for up to 5 years from the date of importation. Our warehouse is bonded so that you can enjoy the benefits of deferred duty and tax payments until your goods are sold.
  • Satellite Racking: Satellite racking condenses storage into a single space with multiple layers and levels, eliminating the need for multiple aisles and enabling high storage efficiency. It is particularly advantageous for customers handling high volumes of a limited number of SKUs, as each shuttle bay can accommodate one SKU with the same batch, streamlining inventory management.
  • Autonomous Mobile Robotics (AMR): We have invested in robotics to improve overall efficiency in our Sydney Facility. These robots operate autonomously within a designated grid or pick path environment, picking up shelves of products without human involvement. The primary advantage lies in the "goods to person" approach, where instead of team members traversing the warehouse to pick orders, the AMRs bring the goods directly to the team members, enhancing efficiency and reducing labour requirements.

What our proximity to rail offers

Our new Sydney Warehouse is 32 km from Port Botany. Notorious for causing delays, this journey takes over 40 minutes by road in good traffic conditions. Our new Sydney facility is strategically located within the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal which has a rail connection from Port Botany. This grants our wharf operations direct access to Port Botany via the rail system, significantly reducing container freight transit times from the port.

What our new Sydney warehouse means for customers

  • Streamlined freight management: The strategic setup and location of our Sydney Warehouse enables us to offer customers a seamless integration of Warehousing services and Wharf cartage. This ensures that you have complete visibility of your container movements via our online customer portal.
  • Cost Saving: The direct port to warehouse solution eliminates costs in terms of road tolls, fuel surcharges and reduces cartages costs in comparison to road transport.
  • Sustainability: By going straight from port to warehouse your carbon emissions are significantly reduced when compared to road transport.
  • Efficiency: By taking advantage of both our Wharf services and Warehousing facilities, you can expedite the process of returning your containers. Our facility accommodates overnight and weekend containers, minimising delays. This grants you access to preferential timeslots not available with our competitors, reducing the chance of significant delays.
