Australian Government to Increase Import Processing Charges

The Australian Federal Government has announced changes to the Processing Fees applicable to Imports into Australia over AUD 10,000.00.

These new price increases take effect on 1st January 2014, and will see Sea Import declarations increase from AUD 50.00 to AUD 152.60 per consignment.

Air import declarations increase from AUD 40.20 to AUD 122.10.

Consignments valued under AUD10,000.00 will remain at the current level which is AUD 50.00 for sea freight clearances and AUD 40.20 for air.
