Mainfreight has gone through the first Brexit weeks. As you may have heard in the news last week, a number of carriers are currently no longer driving to the United Kingdom (UK). We as Mainfreight have decided to still offer daily transport to and from the UK. However, we do ask you as our customer to help us as much as possible for a smooth flow.

Since 1 January, the United Kingdom (UK) has officially become, by leaving the European Union, a customs country. This means that customs formalities apply to the movement of goods with the UK and so every shipper must provide the required documentation with each UK consignment. 

2021 Chinese New Year is coming soon, the public holidays for our team in Asia are as follows It’s that time of year when some countries in Asia enter their holiday season. As businesses close for celebrations it is vital that your supply chain is prepared for the shutdown.

Due to Chinese New Year 2021 and the impact of COVID-19, there will not be any feeder services for the sea import shipments from overseas ports into Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Foshan and others relative ports in Guangzhou province from 20th Jan 2021 to 21st Feb 2021.

Mainfreight appoints John Eshuis as Group IT Manager

Congratulations to our Mainfreight Tauranga team who won the 2020 Westpac Tauranga Corporate Leadership Award. We continue to expand and intensify our network through the development of new depots and warehouses. This creates opportunities to work with local communities in the development of our facilities, and ongoing engagement with Mainfreight's global team.
