Top Freight Company is Top Company in Deloitte-Management Mag Top 200
“The man on the top of the mountain didn’t fall there”
In an exclusive interview with CEO Don Braid – this 'reporter' got the skinny on what it takes to be the only two-time winner (for the same company) of the prestigious Deloitte/Management magazine Executive of the Year award. Mr Braid was self effacing when speaking of his achievement and attributed his success and that of Mainfreight as the winners of Deloitte/Management magazine Company of the Year to the 5167 team members who “worked bloody hard” to grow and expand the company in trying times.
When asked if the award was a surprise he stated that whilst the success of Mainfreight was no surprise the acknowledgement of its performance at these awards and inclusion in the Top 200 was extremely gratifying and was the direct result of the combined efforts of the entire team. He stressed too that the journey is not over and Mainfreight’s 100 year vision is only 30+ years in – what inspires him is what lies ahead – Don may be on top of the mountain but he knows how he got there he also knows that there are more mountains to conquer and with his team beside him they are well within reach.
