This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to increase their knowledge and work within a dedicated Sales Team to delight our customers and grow our business. Sales experience is optional as you will be on an established team who will be there to guide and mentor you every step of the way.
To succeed, you must demonstrate a proven record of accomplishment in operations, excellent communication skills, and an ability to plan and organize your time effectively.
You will have the flexibility to manage your own time/schedule by working independently.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, your primary focus will be on developing new business opportunities within a dedicated territory & helping to broaden our customer base.
The qualities that you will possess include:
- Wiliness to develop a passion for our business and a very strong understanding of the Mainfreight Culture.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Someone ready to achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule
- Someone not afraid to set the bar high and challenge the status quo
- A motivated and energized team player who can coordinate sales efforts with team members in other divisions
- Able to reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs
- Ability to develop and maximize value for our customers, your team, and your branch
- A strong understanding of our product and Global Supply Chain Network
- An innovative and entrepreneurial mind, ready to share new ideas
- Hard worker individual with a strong, honest, and positive work ethic, not afraid to set the bar high.
