Frankfurt and Brussels joined Mainfreight’s GDP Network

Earlier this year, Mainfreight Amsterdam got GDP certified. As proud as we are, we can now announce that our branches in Frankfurt and Brussels have received their GDP certification as well. The GDP certification shows that we are highly qualified to handle medical and pharmaceutical freight, and that we are able to provide quality service for our customers’ commodities.

In order to receive the GDP certification, the branches must meet the World Health Organization’s standards for pharmaceutical cargo supply chains as well as safety and security measures.

This includes:
•    Several document, process, and procedure audits;
•    Two-day, onsite assessment;
•    Live product recall drill;
•    Examination of vendors and suppliers;
•    Physical inspections of containers and packaging, sanitary conditions, security, and temperature control variation.
