Big Rigs Palmerston North | April 13 2014

Posted on 17 April 2014

Mainfreight Palmerston North was proud to be a part of the Big Rigs event in Palmerston North, helping to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation. More than ten thousand locals came out to enjoy the day, helping to fundraise over $20,000.

Robin Jago

The day started with an impressive convoy of 90 trucks driving through the city centre with some of the children riding along in the cabs.

At 1.30pm horns sounded to pay tribute to Robin Jago a Mainfreight team member and Big Rigs event committee member who sadly passed away last year.

Truck rides were on offer all day, the big red Owens truck especially was a hit with the kids. Read more about event in the Manawatu Standard.
