Building Your CV

What should I put in my CV?

It’s important to show us in your application what you’re passionate about, at Mainfreight we say “with passion, anything is possible” and we want you to show us what floats your boat!

We like to see the effort you’ve put in both in your professional life and outside of work. We’re looking for people who know the value of hard work and what it means to be well-rounded and interesting. A great way to demonstrate this to us is to show us:

  • What work experience you have

  • What sports you do

  • What clubs you’re involved in

  • What volunteer experience you have

Let us know about it!

What should I put in my Cover Letter?

Your cover letter must link with your curriculum vitae, you could highlight something that you only briefly mentioned in your CV or talk about that volunteering you did in a bit more depth.

We like to see applications that make the connection between Mainfreight and themselves, it is important that we are important to you:

  • What excites you about working at Mainfreight?

  • What makes you a good fit for Mainfreight?

  • What are your aspirations and goals?

  • What sets you apart from everyone else?

Remember to correctly address your cover letter; no one wants to receive an application with the cover letter addressed to another company.
