We're expanding our Sydney Transport Operations

Over recent years we have seen significant growth in the volume of freight moving to and from our Sydney freight operation in Prestons. To ensure we can meet future growth requirements and improve service levels, we are delighted to announce that we will very soon be operating from a second Sydney transport branch located in Erskine Park.

This two depot strategy (that has worked very well for us in Melbourne) will provide our customers with greater pick-up and delivery flexibility. It will also ensure we have Mainfreight operations, customer service and sales team members located closer to our customers (both inbound and outbound).

Will there be any impact on current customer services?
Freight arriving into Sydney will be routed to the most convenient branch in Sydney for delivery. There is no change needed to the way our customers will consign freight or book pick-ups.

Our new site will be ideally located just off the M4 and M7 motorways providing convenient access to main arterial roads.

When is Erskine Park opening?
Our new branch will open on the 1st of September 2020.
