International
Catering for all your international needs, we are based 5 km away from the bustling Port of Timaru which services coastal and international shipping containers. Timaru’s Mainfreight site is licenced as a Transitional Facility which means we are able to receive your inbound and export containers and perform any MAF requirements that your container may need. Our Christchurch based International office will then be able to help with all the Customs Clearances.
Domestic Freight
We can collect your freight anywhere in the South Canterbury region and deliver to any location within New Zealand via our extensive network throughout New Zealand consisting of 26 branches. If you prefer, we can collect your freight from anywhere in New Zealand and deliver direct to your door. Mainfreight are a multi-modal operator utilising all transport options including road, rail, sea and air to ensure the best transit times to suit your needs.
Local Freight
Our Timaru branch services not only the central town area but we also travel daily to Waimate, St Andrews, Temuka, Geraldine, Pleasant Point, Fairlie, Lake Tekapo, Twizel. We have an extensive fleet of Vans, Small Trucks, Tail lift Vehicles, B-Trains, 46ft Flat Deck, 46ft Curtain Sider and a Skully trailer to carry containers. We also can provide a swinglift truck where required.

Mainfreight has a full time Precision truck and driver. This truck has been designed specifically to transport fragile consignments including furniture. In addition, in conjunction with our International team Mainfreight Precision can offer you options for transporting world wide. We have an easy to navigate website where you can not only get a quote but you can also book and pay for your consignment online and one of our friendly team members will call by to collect your goods, or you can bring them in to our depot.
