Transport Service Belgium Announcement | Coronavirus
We would like to keep you informed about the influence of the coronavirus on the transport market through this site. Mainfreight keeps a close eye on developments. We take measures to protect employees and customers, but we also try to keep our services as normal as possible.
Since the virus has also reached countries in Europe, we are extra vigilant. As Mainfreight, we follow the advice of the local authorities.
Update Thursday 14 May 2020
After several challenging weeks, the confinement has finally ended since May 11. Some important elements we would like to inform you about.
Safety
We have adapted our operations to make to ensure the health and safety of our team members, customers and partners. Here are some of the measures to be respected when coming to our site:
• Sanitizing your hands at the driver reception desk
• Wearing a mask when entering the warehouse
• Respect the 1,5 meter distance
Should your driver not have a mask we will be happy to provide them with one.
Delays
In several countries, we do see extra border controls, health checks of drivers or cargo transport that can only cross the border in convoy. This can cause delays and these aspects can, to our regret, have an impact on our transit times and deliveries.
It is in everyone's interest that our networks remain available for the transport of essential goods projected in Europe. Mainfreight made an effort to keep these vital sectors supplying the days and weeks ahead. We will provide our customers no extra cost charging.
Thanks for keeping a relatively strong level of volume that really helped during those long weeks. Thanks also for being understanding with the team.
