Rapid growth in freight volumes fuels our strategic ambition to create a more intense network. We will continue to bring our team and premises to locations closer to our customers in order to lift quality, reduce delivery times and our environmental footprint through shorter delivery distances.  

In order to realise our ambitions, we are looking for a Property Manager to assist in the search for land or buildings, and help design and construct buildings in the Mainfreight Way.

You know better than anyone what is going on in the international and local real estate market and you know how to get things moving!

You manage the entire process from sourcing land, then from acquisition to realisation. In these projects you work closely with our own Mainfreight team and with various stakeholders (such as branch managers, real estate partners, architects, local authorities, installers, construction companies, etc.). You are also aware of the diverse interests that you manage to achieve the desired result.

Qualities that we are looking for: 

  • Full understanding and demonstration of Mainfreight’s immaculate image and presentation
  • Experience in a similar position is a plus
  • You move with pace
  • You are commercial and result-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to travel to different locations within Europe

What is the working culture like?
We are a very flat structured organisation. We have open plan offices and management sit in amongst the team. We do not use the “s” word (staff) and refer to everyone as Team – everyone has a part to play in moving Mainfreight forward and meeting our targets and goals.

We believe in working hard but we also have fun and a laugh while we do it. Our team is empowered to make decisions and have a say in how we do things.
