September GRI Update

Overview

Please see the below LCL GRI summary, applicable for September shipments.

We continue to receive shipping line increases on a fortnightly to monthly basis. These cost increases are based on, limited capacity on vessels, reduced port calls, port congestion, container equipment issues and tranship port delay. Increases continue to be on both import and export shipments. FCL cost increases range up to USD 1000 per TEU, differing depending on origin or destination.
 
We are regularly engaging with shipping lines to discuss increased allocations and challenging market competitiveness for our customers.  Additionally, we continue to  promote a multi-mode supply approach given the environment, please discuss with your local Mainfreight contacts how this can be achieved.
