About the CadetshipWe are seeking an ambitious person to join our Melbourne (Epping) sales team in the role of Sales Cadet. You will follow a structured program that will teach you about our operations from the ground up, in time using that knowledge to full effect in a sales role.
This exciting role would best suit a professional, driven, passionate individual who is looking for the opportunity to learn about, and carve out their career sales.
The cadetship is very “hands on”, learning the business from the ground up through a supported and structured training program. You will learn all Transport functions and systems, including operations, administration, customer service, sales support and sales. You will also gain exposure to the wider business, including Warehousing, International Forwarding and Wharf Cartage (understanding of the global business – who we are and what we do). You will be put through internal and external training sessions and will be required to have involvement in sales meetings and conferences. Weekly debriefs with the Business Development and Customer Development Managers will keep you informed and provide guidance throughout your cadetship program.
Skills & ExperienceFor this particular role, we are looking for someone who is truly passionate about a career in sales. You may already be in a sales, customer service or internal account management role and want to take that next step into commencing an external sales career. Previous sales experience is not required but a desire to sell and manage accounts is. We value individuality, personality and energy. A willingness to learn is a must, as is excellent personal presentation, punctuality and attention to detail. Being a team player is paramount!
