About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career through the Mainfreight network. With a car for you go out and meet new and existing customers, learn everything there is to know about business development in the Hunter and regional surrounds. Candidates either with previous experience in an Import/export role or the freight forwarding industry, or no relevant experience are both encouraged to apply, but must have an enthusiastic attitude, mature outlook, and enjoy taking ownership in their daily work tasks.
 

Duties and responsibilities

• Preparing and checking import/export documentation
• Data entry – Registrations 
• Sales skills and prospecting
• Liaising with overseas agents, service providers and customers
• Working with all Australian sea freight Terminals
• Arranging deliveries where required

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure
• Eagerness to learn something new every day
• The ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Patience and passionate and always willing to offer the best service to our customers
