Mainfreight launches new airfreight enhancements in Sydney - November 2018
Our Sydney Airfreight branch has undergone a full refurbishment. We are very proud of our new operations and had the official opening on Thursday 8th November 2018. Customers and team members were invited to attend this special occasion.
Expansion and upgrade in Sydney
We have increased our operational footprint in Sydney from 745m2 to 3,133m2. The expansion involved doubling our capabilities to now include:
- 3 chillers (850m2)
- 1 freezer (169m2)
- 1 rapid cooling room
- 2 quarantine inspection rooms
- 2 fumigation chambers that can be used all year round

With dedicated Airfreight branches in Melbourne, Brisbane and our Sydney site operational for 7 years, our airfreight operations have seen rapid growth leading to this infrastructure investment in Sydney.
Perishable and cool chain logistics
Our branches not only handle day to day express airfreight shipments but are purpose built with specialised equipment to handle, store and deliver live, fresh or frozen perishable products to and from any location throughout the world by air and sea.
