ABOUT THE ROLE:

With a fantastic opportunity available, we are looking for a highly motivated team member to join our ocean freight IMPORT TEAM to support our growing business. Ideally the successful candidate will have had a taste of customer service and operations in ocean freight and is now looking for an opportunity to join a truly global supply chain business that will tailor a development path for success whilst proudly representing the Mainfreight brand and culture that we are so proud of!  

DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:

Based in our Rotterdam ocean freight branch overlooking the largest port in Europe, this role is all about providing outstanding customer service and operational support to our customers. Your focus will be to take control of import shipments from the time a shipment is confirmed to final delivery and everything in between including; liaising with our overseas Mainfreight branches, shipping lines, customers, our Mainfreight transport team and making decisions to get cargo moving and delivered in full and on-time.

•    A willingness to learn and grow;
•    Self-motivation , who is dynamic and confident;
•    A genuine interest in supply chain and logistics;
•    Competent business knowledge;
•    The ability to think strategically and outside the square to problem solve;
•    Attention to detail;
•    Competency in Dutch and English;
•    Previous ocean freight experience, although not required;
•    A Customer is King mindset.
