Customs Declarant

Our Mainfreight offices in Paris and Lyon have been part of the Mainfreight family since our European inception in 2013. Both cities are key strategic hubs for France’s supply chain, and hold a lot of opportunity.
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a Customs Declarant to keep all our clearances in-house. The Customs Declarant will look after both our export and import clearances, for air and ocean freight. 

Our strategy is simple: we want to be the best global supply chain provider. We want the right person to join our journey and contribute to our story. You will have the freedom and encouragement to proactively seek out and develop opportunities – we do not have job descriptions within Mainfreight!

The Role

  • You will be a pivotal member of both the Lyon and Paris branch, responsible for all the export and import declarations on our air and ocean freight shipments
  • In addition, you will be in contact with our overseas, global teams, to advise them on customs-related topics
  • You will have the freedom to expand this role with other responsibilities: if you would like to join in customer facing meetings, or help with obtaining certifications, you are free to do so
  • The role can be based in either Lyon or Paris, dependent on your preferences; you will be encouraged to move to the other office at least once per month

  • You are fluent in French and proficient in English
