USA honors Anzac Day
We are one Global family!
ANZAC Day is an important day on the New Zealand and Australian calendars. Because we are one team - one family, that means we care about and honor each others pasts and histories. In the US, we are fortunate to have have a number of our Kiwis and Aussie brothers and sisters working in North America and thus we remember ANZAC day with them. ANZAC Day is a great opportunity to acknowledge a New Zealand and Australian tradition and, at the same time, honor the Soldiers and Veterans of the USA.
To acknowledge the day and occassion, the teams in Newark, NJ and Los Angeles, CA donated trail mix and granola bars and were offered a Poppy to wear and show their support. The red poppy has become a symbol of war rememberance the world over and wearing a poppy was a reminder to us all of the sacrifice our soldiers continue to make each and everyday. Our customer, PowerCrunch, heard of our efforts and offered 12 cases of their protein bars to include in with the donation. (A big Shout Out to Clayton at PowerCrunch!)
In the spirit of ANZAC day and to acknowledge those serving our country, our donations have been sent to a charity called “Tip Of The Spear”. Tip of the Spear and their group of selfless volunteers included our donations of granola bars and trail mix into care packages, being sent to American Troops on the front line in theatres of war.
This is the 3rd year that the Newark Team have donated in rememberance of ANZAC day and the 2nd year that the Los Angeles Team have participated.
We look foward to this tradition spreading each year and thank all of those who serve and protect our family around the world!
