I started with LEP International on the 8th August 1997. I was employed as a sales representative after 12 years in the shipping industry here in Dunedin.

After a year of being in this role I was asked also to look after the domestic sales in Otago for Mainfreight a role which I held for 3 years.

In 2001, Mike Reid our branch manager at the time took up a role in Wellington. This resulted in me being asked to step up to the branch manager role, an opportunity I could not resist.

I am 120% committed to Mainfreight. The team has always stimulated free thinking and ideas to make us the special team we are. When you work for Mainfreight the world is controlled by what you do and think. Our standards and our culture are unique and the environment allows people to grow and be very successful.

One of my favourite sayings, which you may see on some of our trucks, is “If it is to be it is up to me.”
